Bangkok Clutch is the annual bouldering competition presented by Balance Climbing and Balance Prime, which drew 300 registered competitors from nine countries in 2025. The 2026 edition lowers the entry age and runs four categories: Youth (under 14), Origins (14 and over, little or no comp experience), Intermediate (14 and over) and Open (15 and over, for experienced competitors); national team athletes can't enter Origins or Intermediate. Six international route setters from Germany, the UK, Spain, Poland, Singapore and Malaysia are building the sets. Youth and Origins are decided in qualification, with certificates for the top five men and women, while Intermediate and Open go on to finals with over 68,000 THB in total cash prizes, led by 15,000 THB for the Open winners. Entry was 1,390 THB (Youth, Origins) or 1,590 THB (Intermediate, Open), capped at 450 climbers, and includes a merch pack valued at 2,200 THB; the official event T-shirt from the pack must be worn on qualification day.
