BFF Climb's three-day youth bouldering festival returns to its Tampines yo:HA gym, a five-minute walk from Tampines West MRT. Individual Competitive categories run from U9 to U19, with eligibility by birth year (U19 is born 2009 or later, U9 born 2019 or later). Rookie categories for U11, U13 and U15 are for climbers who have not qualified for a bouldering competition final in the past year, with easier routes, separate rankings and no finals; you enter either Competitive or Rookie, not both. Qualifiers are six routes in a timed session, scored 25 points for a top and 10 for a zone, minus 0.1 per failed attempt, and the top eight in each Competitive category from U11 to U19 climb a four-route final on Sunday. There is also a mixed team event for teams of four of any age, plus team and school championships. Entry is S$50 per climber or S$200 per team early bird until 27 December, then S$60 or S$240 until 10 January; schools get S$40 per climber. Registration opens in early November.
